About Us...Bayne... My name is Bayne Schulstad. I own and operate Fast-teks On-site Computer Services in Raleigh, NC with my father. 
I've been in the IT field since the mid 90's working for companies like American Airlines, SABRE, EDS and IBM. Throughout those years, I always enjoyed working on computers and networks on the side. In 2007 my father and I opened Fast-teks. I only hire industry-certified technicians who pass an extensive background check and who are personable enough to speak to a wide range of clients. Gregg... Bayne and I own both Fast-Teks of Raleigh and On-site-computer-repair-services.com which support the local Fast-Teks business but also provides information, articles, Tips & Hints and more to businesses and individuals across the states. 
I'm mostly retired after 40 plus years at IBM. I still do consulting work at Emergys which is an international IT company focusing on enterprise solutions (e.g SAP, SAS, ...) to midrange and large businesses worldwide. At IBM I was involved with the IBM PC product from the early development days thru the transition into Lenovo. Along the way, time and again I saw under serviced opportunities for the residential owner and for the small business operator...be it a home based business or a storefront business. Most service providers tend to move away from the very small user toward those where there are multiple PC products and an IT shop to work with. That way their cost of marketing per user is significantly reduced.
