Easy Steps to Full Registry Repair

On a standard installation of any Windows operating system, a full registry repair is impossible because there is no built-in Windows tool that scans the entire registry for errors with the exception of the Windows Registry tool. That tool does allow manual fixing, but it is nowhere near being newbie friendly. This won't be a major concern if you don’t have problems with your computer and most likely you won't if your system is brand new and/or you haven't added many other programs to it.

Once you start using your computer, the more often you install other applications, visit other websites and change settings, your overall system will begin to show signs of slowing down. You may experience random freezes if you don’t do anything about it. Whether you treat the problem early or not, it is never too late to perform a full registry repair to resolve any problems you might have found. By following the simple steps below, you can fix your Windows Registry without taking any drastic measures such as reinstalling Windows or reformatting your hard drive.

Uninstall any Unnecessary Programs

One of the most common reasons why people suffer from registry problems is because they have many 3rd party applications installed which clutter the registry. There is a big chance that you may not be using many of them and others might have snuck into your computer in the form of adware. Getting rid of these applications using standard uninstall procedures can cut some clutter in the Windows Registry even before you start doing any actual registry repair procedures. Try to uninstall as many applications as you can and restart your computer afterwards to see if there are any noticeable improvements in performance. If not, your registry might have been damaged by malware.

Scan your Computer for Malware

Before you can undo the damage caused by the malware, you should first check to see if you really have any malware present. Attempting to fix registry problems beforehand can be a waste of time as active malware can cause additional damage or may even directly hinder the recovery process. Purchase any good commercial anti-malware software or stick with some of the free programs if you cannot afford to buy one. Do a quick check for any viruses or Trojans that may be present. Update the scanner to the latest definitions and do a full scan for the best results. If any viruses are found, make sure they are dealt with. Regardless of the outcome, you need to do the final step to complete the full registry repair process.

Find and Use a Good Registry Scanning Software

This task requires you to go online and seek out good registry scanning software. Most of the best scanners require a purchased license so be sure to do your research for those with good reviews. Most versions allow a downloadable trial version that you can use to scan your computer for free. If lots of registry errors are detected, purchase the software and do a full scan while making sure that a backup program actually backs up the registry beforehand.

From there you can relax as the registry scanning software does the rest. After the scan is completed you can restart the computer and use the system knowing that you just fixed a lot of the systems problems.
